Adelante con Illinois Republican Women

We get to Illinois on Sunday and none other than Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti jumps on board. She is a rising star in the Republican Party and the first Latina Lieutenant Governor in the United States.
She and Susan Wynn Bence, President of the Illinois Federation, visited with me and our national President, Carrie Almond. Then it was time to hop on board so I could escort them to the rally. The LG really enjoyed the ride.
Women from six different Illinois clubs were waiting for us at Mullen's Bar and Grill in Lisle - Naperville Area RW, York Township RW, Iroquios RW, Kankakee County RW, Northern illinois Republican Women, and Carroll County RW. They greeted us with a big "TaDa!", making President Carrie feel right at home.
Some inspiring speeches. I liked what Lieutenant Governor Sanguinetti said about the importance of reaching out to all communities. And Susan quoted wise words from Lincoln (well, we are in Illinois), reminding everyone "A house divided cannot stand." #GOPWomenUnite
Gloria Cudia, President of the Naperville Republican Women, added to my bilingual signature collection. And a wonderful mother-daughter moment with NFRW Executive Committee member Michelle Buckwalter-Schurman and daughter Olivia.
